Cruising

Although originally built as an Ocean Racer, after having made some minor and discreet modifications, Encounter is perfectly suitable for cruising. Her simple but functional interior provides ample comfort for up to 5/6 guests in aft cabin, forward and saloon areas. Facilities include a good galley with plenty of fridge and freezer space, cooker with oven, hot and cold water, bathroom, etc. There is a lot of storage area as well as good size water and fuel tanks. Her flush decks give plenty of room for relaxing and sunbathing.

Cruising Monaco

The Principality of Monaco is just a few feet away from the Encounter's home port of Cap d'Ail. The waters here are perfect for an afterwork sail or a relaxing Sunday afternoon stroll. We often spot dolphins and whales in these waters.

We like to end a day cruising on the Encounter with a fine glass of rosé under the French Riviera sunset!

Cruising Corsica

Depending on the weather, the Encounter will cruise to the French Island Corsica in about 12 hours. The distance from the port of Cap D'Ail to Corsica is only 90 nautical miles. We often take the Encounter there and leave it for a month whilst we travel back and forward with the plane.

Corsica is a great place for Cruising and we love to discover the deep blue waters in the wide bays with mountainous backdrops and picture postcard ports.
